About the name
The Portuguese word “foz” comes from the Latin word "fouces" which means “mouth”. In this context, it means " the mouth of the river". It is used to describe an estuary – where a river meets the sea. I first heard it used on a trip to Portugal several years ago. I was really enamored with the sound of the phrase, and the imagery of water making it’s way from the source to the open sea. I believe the journey from musical idea to finished production can be viewed in a similar manner.
